Bollard Proof have successfully tested and independently certified their latest 4G bollard load test rig. This more compact and adaptable machine has been developed based on the experience gained from the more diverse and demanding of testing regimes. With the UK market in mind in terms of its range of capabilities, the new rig will be based here to enable a more varied range of activities in addition to the more straightforward test requirements which it is also capable of fulfilling.
The lightweight rig can be deployed by a small crane mounted workboat for dolphins or piers with limited vehicular access and has a unique dual ability to load test not only bollards mounted flush with the quay edge but also storm bollards positioned remotely from the quayside.
This 4G design is the first in a series of new rigs to be introduced in the coming months in different strategic global hubs.
With several contracts in hand, this machine is expected to be very busy over the coming months. There is considerable demand for in-situ bollard load testing in continental Europe and therefore as part of its next phase of growth, and to streamline logistics, Bollard Proof’s existing rig will be permanently stationed in western Europe to meet demand and continue market growth in that territory.
